Ran away with myself

Last year was not such a good year in the relationship department for me. It seemed as though I was on this endless search for phantom love that I could never attain. I think about the almost feelings I had and the partials and the rushed emotions and the eventual boredom and I sigh. I do feel as though sex is a large part of a relationship and that two people have to be compatible in that department as well but I shy away for that test in an effort not to appear promiscuous. This year is different. This year I will not waste time or energy in the “get to know you” game with someone that will eventually fall short and leave me feeling dissatisfied and bored. I am looking for my partner in this confused world.
