Falsifying stats

I hate when a company says, “we have ******** members!” and then finding out that most of them are fakes. I know that MySpace is an old social network, but it still is a social network. I used to use MySpace, for like a month. I quickly switched to Facebook and have been there ever since. I have been doing a lot of background checks all day, just for the fun of it. Not in any legal capacity but it can tell you what social networks an email belongs to and such.

I started doing this just to see what people are REALLY up to, and I found that a friend had a MySpace page that was very generic and the only friend was Tom. Yeah that could be possible, someone signs up and doesn’t use it at all. But then I checked my email addresses to see hat pops up and I found that I had a MySpace page called Pimp  I knew for sure that this could not be possible so I clicked view profile and there was a generic page with the only friend being Tom. I wonder if that is how MySpace gets it’s member base from; using false pages and linking them to people without their knowledge??  I suggest that everyone check to ee what their names are linked to.
